Greetings!

Hello there! My name is Emilee Wolsey, I am 26 years old, and I am the owner and founder of Emilee Wolsey Photos (I mean obviously, it has my name in the title). I am a Greeley, CO native and I have lived there all my life. I graduated from Greeley Central High School in 2014, and am currently attending Colorado State University - Global to earn my Bachelor's of Science in Business Management. I have been doing freelance photography for about 8 years now. I first pick up a camera in 2012 for a photography class, and I fell in love! That's when I started asking (begging is a better word) my friends and family to let me practice taking photos for them for free. Every now and then, I would take this really awesome photo; they were pretty far and few between, but I would see that photo, and I would get this rush of adrenaline and pure joy. Then I started seeing my clients dawn their photos upon their walls. That is how I knew that I was hooked. Since 2012, I have done quite a lot of work on my photography and graphic design skills. Here, you will see a blog post for only a chunk of the shoots that I have done since my website was built, but you will continue to see shoots from now, …

Holiday Red Raspberry Bars

I am a day late getting to this post (as per usual for me), but Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays - whatever it is you celebrate, it is surely a wonderful time of year. Even this year! I found ways to make my holiday count this year, despite the circumstances! This recipe by Hershey's was DEFINITELY one of them! Holiday Red Raspberry Bars 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour1 cup sugar3/4 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)1 egg, beaten1 cup (2 sticks) cold butter or margarine1 jar (12 oz) seedless red raspberry jam'1 ⅔ cups HERSHEY's Milk Chocolate Chips, HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips, HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S MINI KISSES Milk Chocolates Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Stir together flour, sugar, pecans, and egg in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture on bottom of prepared pan. Stir jam to soften; carefully spread crumb mixture in pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Crumble reserved crumb mixture evenly over top. Bake 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned. Chai Tea Sugar Cookies w/ Egg Nog Icing

Anyone who knows me now or knew me at one point (and I do mean, ANYONE) knows that I love Taylor Swift and her music. If Taylor has taught me anything, one of the best things would have to be this recipe for Chai Tea Sugar Cookies. The Chai Tea in the mix was Taylor's signature touch on a classic recipe for sugar cookies. With the Egg Nog icing to top it all off, this is one of the most well-rounded cookie recipes I have found (can you tell I may be a *little* biased?). Plus, it is a PERFECT recipe to celebrate the upcoming holiday! The recipe is below - don't forget to post pictures of your attempt at making these and tag @LeeWolseyPhotos on Instagram so I can drool over your creation. Chai Tea Sugar Cookies w/ Egg Nog Icing 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature1/2 cup vegetable oil1/2 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup powdered sugar1 egg2 tsp. Vanilla Extract2 cups flour1/2 tsp. baking soda1/4 tsp. salt1 chai tea packet ICING: 1 cup powdered sugar1/4 tsp. nutmeg1/4 tsp. cinnamon1 tbsp. egg nog Preheat the oven to 350°. The Stevens Wedding

This is Hillary and Sebastian. These two are absolute perfection! I absolutely love weddings, and one of the biggest reason is seeing how truly connected the bride and the groom are together. This wedding was most definitely not an exception. Between the amazing and gorgeous venue, the tasteful decorations, and the swinging music, this wedding was one to remember. I have actually known Hillary personally since kindergarten. We went to school together all the way through college and graduated together! When she asked if I wanted to photograph her wedding, I was so honored, and excited. It was also slightly weird considering I am at the age where I am seeing more and more of my friends getting married, having kids, etc. but I was still excited nonetheless. I think that the pictures that I took really captured the essence of the wedding, and definitely captured these two's wonderful relationship and love for one another. I will never forget this wedding, I am still beaming!   To view more photos from this shoot, click here. …

Photo Shoot with the Patton Family

This family is absolutely the bee's knees! I love the connection they all have with one another, they are truly one unit. Ann works with my mom, and like always, my mom was showing off my work, and Ann knew that she wanted to hire me. I had such a fun time with them, they were so cooperative and patient with me. I hope you like their photos as much as I do.     To view more photos from this shoot, click here. …
